Xavier learns: Diving is for pools not steps.

Thursday evening we decided to let Xave run around and enjoy the beautiful weather. Of course after a few laps in the yard all he wanted to do was go up and down the steps. He fell and neither Brent or I were close enough to catch him. We gave him a sucker to calm him down and distract him while we cleaned him off.

Notice the worried look on Brent's face. Luckily the scrapes all are superficial. He did get a knot, but it went down quickly with ice. While out today we got Extra attention, though I wonder how many people thought that we were bad parents.

Hopefully he heals quickly and his face looks like this soon.

Catching up: Installment 3

.Xavier is talking so much more now. He can say dog, cat, tree, car, Mama, Dada, snack, shoes, diaper, bye-bye, hello, cheerios, cheese, potato, ball, no, bite, water, nose, eye, belly, thank you, I love you., Papaw, Mamaw, Mam and Pap. Julie he says Juju when he sees her picture and he can say apple, banana (which he is completely obsessed with), baby and I am sure there are more I am forgetting. He tries to repeat everything we say. Though that sometimes backfires on us. Yesterday I was getting read and Brent was dressing Xave. I hear Brent say "get down Xavier, what would Mama say?" Xave, who was standing on his table replied "NOOOOOO". Just the other day he got in trouble for biting me. After being put in the corner he comes back over to me with a sweet face looks at me and says "I bite" and then laughs.

Xavier Loves wearing shoes. Here he is in a pair of Aunt Juju's

Mam's cabinents are a fun place to hang out.

His first REAL shoes. They are a bit big but that didn't stop him from running all over the back yard for over and hour.

Catching Up: Installment 2.

Just some pictures around the house. Xavier still loves the computer.

I am just a little bit proud of the play food I made. So far he only has eggs and strawberries.
We have to keep the dishwasher closed at all times.

Finger painting. Thanks Aunt Katie. :) We might wait a few more months until he doesn't stick Everything in his mouth.

Aquarium Trip and Catching Up

It has been a while since I have posted any pictures. There is a lot to catch up on. We had a lot of cold weather and snow. Xavier went out to play in the snow, but once his hands got wet he was over it pretty quick. Isn't he too cute in his handmade hat! (No I do not have enough knitting skill, a friend made it)

We took a trip to the Newport Aquarium. It is such a relaxing place, though it is easier to relax when you are not chasing a toddler.

After the first hour he was DONE! Next time we go somewhere like that I need to plan to have lunch halfway through to give him (and us) a bit of a break.

Checking out the otters. Love the curl on the back of his head.

It's already March?

After all the cold, snow and more cold I haven't taken many pictures lately. I have even fewer pictures that are worth putting up, mainly because a certain tiny boy is in constant motion and I only manage to get a picture of his back.

His 18 month checkup was today. 24 lbs. and 32.5 inches! He is now in the 25th percentile instead of hovering between the 10th and 25th.

December

So I have a lot to catch up on. I was going to post things in chronological order, but there are just too many pictures.
Here is a picture of all 3 of us on our wedding anniversary. Brent and I have been married for 6 years! We went to a hibachi restaurant for dinner. Xavier was pretty good. The big fire when they first started scared Xave. His eyes got so big and he said "mama" with such terror in his voice. I picked him up out of his highchair and he was okay. He really enjoyed the food. I thought blueberry applesauce would be different, not realizing the mess it would make.

New years Eve. Katie, Rick and Elijah came to visit. We tried to get a good picture of the boys in their matching pj's. Xavier was a little too squirmy.

TROUBLE - enough said.

Christmas day. Playing in his new tunnel.

Yes, the biggest smile we got was from the yogurt melts in his stocking.

Xavier with cosmo the "dog, dog" He was very confused since he had spent the entire day with Ema, a real dog. So of course this furry thing had to be a dog too. The following day he called Ema a cat.
Brent playing with our Christmas present for each other, the Wii.
Cookies for the playgroup cookie exchange. They were so good!

Not sure what this is about.....but it makes me laugh.

My boys.

Xavier with the Christmas tree. He is holding what he calls a "ball ball" not sure why he says it twice. If you look closely you will notice there are no ornaments on the bottom half of the tree, because a certain boy liked to remove them. I will have some more pictures up in a few days.
